10 year old Tommy was deep in his new Pokémon deck, flipping through the cards…

  “Watch out!” said Mom

“What?” He mumbled, looking at a Pikachú.

Just then, Tommy crashed right into a yellow tented “slippery when wet” sign that was propped over a spilled Sprite. He skidded through the soda, trying to stop, but crashed right into a rack of women’s petite dresses.

“Tommy!” Yelled Mom. “Yuck. What a mess!”

When Tommy Looked down, half of his new deck was on the ground- coated in sticky soda.

“Tommy!” said Mom, “You need to pay attention when you’re walking in a store…”

“Well why was that there in the first place?” He whined. “I mean, those were my new cards!”

“And our new dresses…” complained a sales lady.

“And my son’s new clothes!” said Mom, raising her eyebrows. “Why wasn’t that cleaned up?”

A crowd gathered, and a young girl giggled at Tommy.

A toddler came running over, and stomped on the puddle, sending more soda onto everyone and everything around….Including a rack of expensive women’s scarves.

For a few moments, no one said a word. But then, a 10 year old girl named Julie, came over and gave Tommy half of her newest Pokémon deck.

From down the hall a lady with a mop appeared, and began wiping away the mess.

The sales lady wheeled away the rack of dresses,  and a man followed behind her with the scarves.

Finally, Mom let out a small laugh.

“Well,” she said, “at least you always know how to draw a crowd! Now let’s go and find you something else to wear.”

Fortunately, right around the corner they found a new Pokémon shirt and matching shorts.

“Just what I wanted!” said Tommy.

The end.
